Bacillus coagulans

Bacillus coagulans BCP92 (MTCC25460)

Bacillus coagulans recently renamed as Heyndrickxia coagulans1 is gram positive, spore forming, non-pathogenic, non hemolytic2, rod shaped bacterium, stable at wide range of pH and temperature. Produces lactic acid and bacteriocins which prevent the growth of pathogenic microorganism. It can sustain gastric and bile acids in human gut and remains stable in highly acidic environment. Approved as GRAS3 in US and QPS4 status in EU.

Benefits
